I wish I was in Florida. It's 31 degrees here right now, and all the mushrooms are going to sleep. I am having the usual withdrawl symptoms, - week knees, twitchy fingers, can't even look at the ground anymore... I'm a wreck.

But hey. There's always a mushroom growing somewhere... and right now it's in YOUR BACK YARD!!

When I picked ion Florida I too found many strange critters.

! a water Mocassin and several Black Widow Spiders were around the manure piles under some rocks where the cows shit.

I picked at the DInsmore Dairy in Jacksonville, but I must tell everyone that I had looked in about 15 fields before I found my first cubensis in Florida. Wrong time of year and such and then when the season came I only found two fields and the DInsmore Dairy was a popular spot at that time (1979).

Mine got stolen in Amsterdam so I bought a cannon, its not so great. I had a pentax and a nikon em ripped off while in Holland.

Also, great pics. Had a digital, too, but had to return due to some problems. Hope to get a replacement, but have been waiting for digital camcorders to come down in price. They're getting there. Problem with them, seems like, is that they are good for shit for still pics. I personally think it is a scam 'cause they could still put the same chips in the cam corders for stills they are using for still digi-cameras. Think they are just stalling to milk what they can from the current market, before moving along.
