San Pedro sunlight/ heat question

I have 3 recently potted San Pedro's that I planned on putting out in the yard. I know they are a mountain cactus so I didnt know if they would be sensitive to a full Arizona sun, especially come summer time.
I could always hide them along the fence or something if they need a bit of afternoon shade.

they like about a 30% shade cloth but will be ok in full sun, a little fatter and yellow/green but should be ok.
just watch out that it does not rain too much and soak your soil for too long. this is why i put mine in a greenhouse

Is there anything you'd suggest for promoting root growth?
2 of them havent been transplanted yet, the other one, I tried potting it, but it developed mold on the end before rooting.
At this time all 3 of the cuttings are sitting in the garage where they have been for 5 days and will probably sit for another 5 days. But once their calloused over, what can I do to help ensure that they develop healthy roots?
The sand/ cactus mix is bone dry.

you should wait allot longer than 10 days for them to callouse over. around 3 or 4 weeks.

Plant it in the ground, you´d rather have some richer soil, it´s a myth that cacti don´t need nutrients.

Alright, thanks. I think that was the problem with the first cutting, I potted it way to early. Ill hold off for another 2-3 weeks.
Have you ever used any of those rooting hormones?
