Using 1/6 BRF substrate

I know that the basic recipe is 1/4 cup brown rice flour 1/2 cup vermiculite, and 60ml (4 tablespoons) of water.
My debate is about using 1/6th of BRF.
According to the Shroomery, it says its best to use 1/6th BRF. Located at the link below.
http://www.shroomery.org/5143/What-recipe-should-can-I-use-for-PF-cakes
Which says the following:
Put the required amount of vermiculite in a bowl (all at once, NOT for each jar separately!). Use a spatula or spoon to mix in enough water to saturate the vermiculite to the field capacity, mix well. The field capacity is reached when a small puddle, barely visible, forms at the bottom of the bowl when you tilt it. Then add the appropriate amount of BRF and mix together.(This works best if you use 1/2 cup vermiculite and 1/6 cup BRF per 1/2 pint jar)
So..
Used 24 jars
24 x 1/6 BRF= 4 cups
Some substrate was left over, so it was used in two extra jars. Everything should be okay according to whats stated above. I don't know why some of you are saying that the cakes wont do anything. Maybe Im misreading something, or have a lack of understanding, but if one shouldnt use 1/6 BRF for the recipe, I think that it shouldnt state that in the Mushroom Info section on the Shroomery. Right?

I think the recipe is typically .5, .25, .25, respectively per jar. That's what I have always done. I'm sure it'll work, but if you're gonna be fruiting from cakes, then they definitely aren't going to get as big since there won't be much nutrients... Eh. Maybe I am wrong. But I don't think so. Good luck!

I can't believe after all these years we still have to type out the basic pf recipe over and over again.
1 unit brf 1 unit water 2 units vermiculte RR

might be pretty bad if youre fruiting off those cakes. the nutrients in the pf recipe come from the brf alone. 'nuff said.

You should spawn them to a coir (or horse poo) based substrate in a monotub! Those cakes do not seem like they are going to be doing much on their own.
