Mushy growing before full colinization?

So i checked on one of my brf jars today to see how colonization progress was going...and much to my surprise i saw a nice little mushy (definitely not just a pin) growing near the top of the jar/lid on the side against the glass. The bottom of the jar is still completely UNCOVERED with mycelium, so my question is....what do i do? just keep letting the shroom grow in there and birth once the jar is fully colonized? or is this a sign that i need to birth now?

i dont really understand why shrooms would appear before mycelium is well established, but hopefully you all can help me out. i appreciate it, thanks.

if it was me, i would birth it and dunk/roll it and cut off the uncolonized portion and next time make sure you keep it out of the light..
