Chewbacca ain't gonna make it through the night. Vet was gonna do it reluctantly and charge us 100 bucks. Forget it. Looked up the most humane way to do it in google and just got tons of debate.
I figure DayQuil and Crushed up muscle relaxer outta do it. She can't even drink water but she somehow sucked on that like a fatman with a twinkie. At least she's going to go out relaxed now.

If I had some weed I would have blown her one last shotty. If I had a 40... I'd pour out the end too
She had some kinda cancer lymopsomething... It crept up really fast and she was doing ok with it for a week.. then bam... remembered to give her some carrots and the second I saw her from 10 feet away I knew it was time.

Easiest and most human way to kill a rodent is to put on a big pair of boots and step on it. Breaks the back instantly. I can't really think of a quicker way to kill it, though it would certainly be hard to do to a pet.

Happy trails Chewbacca! Have fun climbing the unending plastic tubes of the netherworld.

Yea... giant injection full of poison or a stomp would have been the fastest, least painful away. I can't do the stomp and actually considered giving her a percocet if she could have eaten it
she sure loved that dayquil though

sorry to hear about chewbacca, you did what was best and you did it humanely, it hurts to have to put them down yourself but you know that it was the right thing and honestly, you did it the right way
I dropped my kids off at my ex wifes today, her dog was 20 years old, she was getting weak and having a hard time getting around, she couldnt even sit or lay without being in pain, my ex and I were discussing whether or not I should put her down or not, she couldnt take her to the vet because she couldnt get her in the car.. I came home to get my CO2 tank and some lidocaine, carbon dioxide burns the lungs and throat, the lidocaine eliminates that... I loaded up and my phone rang, she asked me to come bury her dog

The only nearby emergency animal place... the doctors seem reluctant to euthanise anyways. One doc asked us if we wanted it done when we went a week ago.. we declined. Now that I look back I wonder if we should have.
Probably not.. the only other pet I've had die on me was a parakeet 20 years ago so the humbling experience was probably good for me.

Dayquil? no no no.
Would you want to die of a pseudoephedrine overdose? sounds like a nasty way to go.

Well it had DXM and Acetominophen.. figured it would trip and be painless that way. Added in crushed cyclobenzarine just to try to knock her out peacefully.
All I can say is she loved it... she grabbed onto that qtip like it was crack... It was the only thing she was able to move for.
But who the hell really knows... it's a rodent.
