Hey guys... The purpose of a humidity chamber is to accommodate a plant until it adapts to its surroundings.. Is that correct?
My Salvia plant has survived winter and has begun growing due the changing climate (spring is on its way!)... however it is outgrowing its chamber....
What if i keep it in its chamber.. Will it break through it? Should I make it a new chamber? Start accommodating? I dont know what I to do!
Thansk a lot

Thanks.. However, im skeptical about all the leaves dying... Do I really have to kill off parts of the plant to accommodate it?

its taken me 6 months + to acclimate only two of my salvia plants to no humidity chamber...and i have lost 7 + plants in the process...i have two now which seem to be going strong. the majority of the time the plant loses the will to live and shrivels and dies..it has to be a very slow process..DO NOT RUSH IT! if you want it to stop growing upwards nip off the top on a V section it will then go outwards and fit in the chamber...get some cuttings and grow them up then use htem to acclimate them. I hope this helps you bro

im piggybacking on a question of my own, as i often do
if a salvia is adapted to a low humidity environment, is it necessary then to put cuttings from that plant in a humidity dome? it seems to me that this would be counterproductive, as it gets acclimated to the humidity and this only sets up the new plant for a lot of stress later on, when it could just stay in the same environment and only have to deal with the stress of making a new root system

greenday you keep telling people not to use a humidity dome and to just let it be but this is not the best info, IMO my salvia grew best when it was in 100% humidity, when it came time to acclimate it i took the plants out of my chamber a little bit every day until i did not need it anymore.
i do have to say that the plant looked/grew a lot healthier when it was in to chamber!!
