Jamaican Shower

its sorta like a hotbox but done in a small bathroom with the shower water on HOT so its like your burning in a sauna.

smoke like 2-3 blunts or a few bowls while in there and when you leave the room your soooooo faded and the temperature change in the air is so crisp, then you just chill and watch the smoke/steam roll out of the bathroom.:bongload:

so fucking cool. Its been a long tome since ive done one.

I've also heard east coast tokers call the carb on a pipe a "kickhole".

Clam Bake is commonly heard in Chicago.

Hot Box appears to be the "in" term in Wisconsin.

We used to smoke in my friends sauna late at night when none of the old fogey's from the condo complex were around. It was so nice! You can take the HUGEST rips because the air is so hot. You don't even feel the smoke going into your lungs, but then you exhale and just lose your shit.

I live in Southern California.

Here we use hot box. Usually that refers to smoking in a parked car (or room, anything that can fog up) to the point where it fogs up everything.

I've never heard of a Clam Bake.

And to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't really want to partake in any "Clam Bake" either.

I've noticed a lot of people say 'shwag' on the Shroomery. I've never heard anyone say that before.

Here in the not so sunny state of California, we like to say "stress" instead. Stress is the shitty weed usually coming in from below the MexiCal border, but can also be used to describe shitty weed in general.

We say a lot of stuff different in Cali. When most people use 'chronic' I assume they mean the strain of weed known as Chronic.
But in Cali, we use the term 'chronic' to refer to what you guys would probably call 'mids'.
We also like to say 'bomb', using it to describe anything good.
Example: Damn, that weed was bomb. That hamburger was bomb as well.

I find it interesting to hear what other slang people use outside of the West Coast.

everyone around here says clam bake, but that doesn't make it right

When I lived in socal, chronic was used to refer to strains that contained a lot of the chemical that would knock you out as opposed to get you high. I wouldn't say it was much lower quality than the kush, which was aimed more at the psychedelic side of the equation.

I always assumed it's called chronic because it's a pretty addictive form of mj. If you smoke it as a pain releiver or to help sleep, it can be hard to come off it.

Addictive marijuana? Que?

Sometimes chronic refers to weed laced with coke. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I've heard people here in colorado call it "chonging" a room or car. LOL

Kinda makes sense actually..

A couple of times years ago I tried smoking bowls with a steamy shower going, but the lighter always stopped working. Blunts are a great idea for that! I'm gonna have to try this soon.

Btw the best blunts, are the ones where you sprinkle kif all through it :stoned:

Kief definitely works wonders on blunts, but it can make them run pretty bad if you don't distribute it evenly. A little bit of rolling tobacco (like, a tiny amount) I find really helps blunts and J's burn real smooth and even.

It can be psychologically addictive, and physically addictive as well (not chemically). If you can't sleep without it or feel pain without it, then your body can develop a real need (which pales in comparison to true chemical addiction).

No, it's not laced.

"Psychological Addictions" seems like such a cop out to me. "Oh, I'm addicted to gambling! That's why I put up my house and my car on that blackjack hand. It's not my fault. I have an addiction. I have a disease." No, you're just a stupid fucker that needs to stop gambling.

Psychological addiction to me translates into: habit.

This is way different than a gambling addiction namely because of the physical elements I've mentioned. I'm sure plenty of people out there agree with me, but I understand your view. You have to have been in the situation I guess.

I mean...I smoke pot every day for the most part, usually multiple times per day.  I would not, however, say that I am addicted to pot.  Cigarettes, I am addicted to.  For sure.  Sometimes I just NEED a cigarette.  Sometimes I really WANT a bowl, but I know I can go without.

  I suppose sometimes I can be an insensitive bastard, though.

Actually, his usage is the original usage of the term.

Um, all the people who use it in reference to cigarettes are old, and they say so?

wiki maybe? but that was the original meaning. Somewhere along the way it switched.

We usually say "Tack" Like the room was tacked out.

What about regional terms for going an a drive roasting bowls?

I've always heard it called bowl-cruising (as in "Hey man, want to go on a bowl cruise?").  Recently  I heard the term "space cruise" to refer to the same thing.

Texas slang:
Brick Weed from Mexico = Brown Frown

But, what do you guys call it when it's 102 degrees outside, your friend has a big ol' pool and you put all your stuff in a ziplock, buy a large kiddy pool...turn it over...dive under water...surface underneath the kiddie... and proceed...to smoke a hogs leg or fat lady or cone?
We used to call it, Doing That Thing With The Kiddie Pool.

Though I guess it could be accurately called Almost Drowning as well.

If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain and leave the Shroomery.' ~ Jim Morrison

I have hotboxed in carts, phone booths (the ones that do have a door in. Fun fact, you can fit five people in there, and a spliff, but it's a bugger when you can't sit down) and a wendy house before.

Never clam baked. It doesn't sound nice. I will have to try smoking in a sauna sometime. Never been in one before, but I have smoked in a hot steamy bath before. Ohh yes, nothing like being immersed in hot water to fight off the chills.
