I remember one of my teachers talking about going to a clam bake (a real one) then all the stoners in the class started asking him questions w/ double entendres.
everyone around here says clam bake, but that doesn't make it right

When I lived in socal, chronic was used to refer to strains that contained a lot of the chemical that would knock you out as opposed to get you high. I wouldn't say it was much lower quality than the kush, which was aimed more at the psychedelic side of the equation.
I always assumed it's called chronic because it's a pretty addictive form of mj. If you smoke it as a pain releiver or to help sleep, it can be hard to come off it.

Addictive marijuana? Que?
Sometimes chronic refers to weed laced with coke. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I've heard people here in colorado call it "chonging" a room or car. LOL
Kinda makes sense actually..
A couple of times years ago I tried smoking bowls with a steamy shower going, but the lighter always stopped working. Blunts are a great idea for that! I'm gonna have to try this soon.
Btw the best blunts, are the ones where you sprinkle kif all through it

Kief definitely works wonders on blunts, but it can make them run pretty bad if you don't distribute it evenly. A little bit of rolling tobacco (like, a tiny amount) I find really helps blunts and J's burn real smooth and even.

It can be psychologically addictive, and physically addictive as well (not chemically). If you can't sleep without it or feel pain without it, then your body can develop a real need (which pales in comparison to true chemical addiction).
No, it's not laced.

"Psychological Addictions" seems like such a cop out to me. "Oh, I'm addicted to gambling! That's why I put up my house and my car on that blackjack hand. It's not my fault. I have an addiction. I have a disease." No, you're just a stupid fucker that needs to stop gambling.
Psychological addiction to me translates into: habit.

This is way different than a gambling addiction namely because of the physical elements I've mentioned. I'm sure plenty of people out there agree with me, but I understand your view. You have to have been in the situation I guess.

I mean...I smoke pot every day for the most part, usually multiple times per day. I would not, however, say that I am addicted to pot. Cigarettes, I am addicted to. For sure. Sometimes I just NEED a cigarette. Sometimes I really WANT a bowl, but I know I can go without.
I suppose sometimes I can be an insensitive bastard, though.
