Nice pic MJ, I love seeing new wild Cubensis pics I haven't seen before. Theres not to many out there I haven't seen. How'd you get in that field during daylight. I'd love to hunt in daylight so I could get some pics, and the shrooms are easier to find...eh,(no I'm not Canadian) I heard dinsmore puts no spore in their cattle feed nowa days. Not because of shroom hunters, because they don't want psilocin in the cows milk. Anyway, that what I heard, nices pic though MJ The Lizard, [This message has been edited by Lizard King (edited January 03, 2000).]

Your welcome,Mj Here is a picture of some 23 inch P. cubensis I grew from a strain from India. Also check out the Advanced Cultivation threads. I show some Penis Envy Equadorians from Terence McKenna's strain and several of Thai, Malaysian and P.cyanescens. Here is a picture of a strain from India of P. cubensis. The big mushrooms are 23" tall and the smaller shrooms in the aaquarium are only 8" tall. And here is an image of a big Thai mushroom from Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand in the Gulf of Siam exactly 9 degrees north of the Equator. Have a shroomy day. Mj

Aiyeeee !!! Them big ones from a indian strain... Maverick has begun to get a clue as to what he is missing. Where did you get the print from ? or was it collected in the field ? If it was collected in the field, where did you collect it... I hate to be such a drag, but I think I have been missing out on the natural resources of my country for too long.. Waiting for the rains........ Hi. The sprores were collected in Orissa.Of course are you aware that copelandia's and Psilocybe semilanceata have been reported from Pune, India. There is also a species in Tamilnadu that has yet to be identified. It does resemble Cyanescens and Azurescens a little. PEter Gorman wrote an article about them in High Times around 1992 or 1994 or sometime around then. Have a good day Mj

These are *GREAT* pics, everybody. Mj, you're my hero. I'm interested, as Lizard King is, in how you get in all these fields in the daytime? Do you express that you're a professional? -Abaddon

Nice! That top picture looks exactly like the Cubies I find around here. Almost pure white. But I've only picked them on three different hunts, in the same field. I guess strains could vary field to field and produced different shades of Cubensis. The last time I went pickin' in early Dec., I found 4 little red, immature Cubensis, barely surrviving the cold weather. On all three hunts I did last season, it took 3 us a little over an hour to find a total of 4-5 mushrooms. I guess this is due to the fact this is my first year pickin' and I started at the tail end of season here. I'm very excited to hunt this spring. I spotted this field last september that I could see huge Cubensis growing everywhere. The bummer was that I had to go on summer vacation the next day and was unable to pick the field. When I returned, there was 1 mushroom to be found in the entire field after two hours of searching. I plan to hit that field in a few months here when it warms up. I hold high hopes for it. I am definately getting a digital camera so I can preserve and document my findings, and of course post them here Anyway nice pics GGreat. So have the Copelandia's hit a dry spell? You couldn't get enlough of them a month ago, and now you strike it rich on the cubes. Oh well, can't complain keep up the good work! The Lizard,

Yehaw! I needed some cow dung for a new tek I'm going to try with the Cambodian strain. So I went out to the field I was talking about in the above post earlier. Its been warm for the last few days and raining off an on, and sure enough I found 1 lone cubie. He wasn't in the best shape, but amazingly he was there. I wasn't really looking hard, but since I was there I wasn't going to not look. After about 15 minutes I spotted him right out in the middle of the field. I looked for some of his friends but with none success. DAMN, I got mushroom fever now, I can't wait till' spring. I especially can't wait to visit Florida again this spring. This time I'm searching for the Copelandia's, I really want to try some. I've never eatin' anything but cubensis, I want to try a different species for comparison. Anyway I thought I'd share this find with you GGreat. If I wasn't so broke right now, I'd have a damn digital camera so I could take some pics. Oh well, it won't be long, I'll have one by this spring hopefully. -Later- The Lizard,

Hey GGreatOne...if im not mistaken from what ive read in your earlier posts, you reside in Florida. I have a quick question for you, how the hell do you find them at this time of year? I was just down there and i searched all over a huge cow field one day near Jacksonville (off I-95, exit 95, around late December) and I didnt find SHIT!!! Ive been hunting before and know where to look but i couldnt find anything. Was it just my bad luck that i came at the wrong time or what? Help me out because im growing bitter and envious.ZoneSeeker
