Yeah, I imagine a powder would be the easiest to store, probably has a longer shelf life too? Anyone else? I'm going to order in the next 30mins. Any opinions or suggestions greatly appreciated.

The biggest advantage of the powder is ease of use. Liquid malt is thick like molasses and hard to weight

Thanks Neo, I'm ordering from a beer brewing supply site. I should probably go ahead and order some dextrose also?

If you are doing agar (which is recommended) I use just malt extract.
Don't know about LC, I always use hhoney.

I've done honey LCs, and they work-just not all the time. I've never done the malt/dex LCs, it seems alot of people swear by 'em though. Can they be that much better?---Yeah, that's my dog, passed away a few years ago, very good dog, saved my daughter and wife from being attacked by some stray dog roaming through our neighborhood, my daughter was 3y/o at the time.

well you only wanna start LC from a proven source. AKA mycelium from a jar or agar, or fresh fruit.

Yeah that's where I wanted to go with it. Use the petris to do some cloning work, then get LCs going. Been wanting to get started on this for a while now, just finally got a few extra dollars in my pocket to get some supplies to do it up right.
