Aquatic Heater
    #8055492 - 02/22/08 08:34 AM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Hey dudes, i just checked out Wal-Mart's only supply of aquatic heaters, and they say they only get up to 78 deg, and stay there. I was wondering if this temp was ok? because from guides i've read, most agree that u want something in the low 80's.

Wondering if this one would be ok, or if i should buy one off the net somewhere, and if so do u guys recoomend one.

Huh? Who told you that? I bought mine at Petco and it was only $25, and you can adjust the temp with a little lever. I would think the ones at Walmart are the same. I dont know what the temp in the water is, but inside my incubation tub I was able to bring the temp from 74 by default up to 78 now. I wouldnt buy one if I couldnt adjust the temp.

Do you have a Petco or Petsmart around you? I know they both have a pretty good selection. I bought the 100w.

That, my friend, is why room temperature is a relative term and should not be used in this hobby lol

75-83F is my target temps from Knock up to Harvest...
