How many do you drink a day?

I'm 19 years young, 160 pounds, active, both sexually and physically.
1 to 2 a day is nothing. I know people who drink 20 coffees a day.
It's still empty calories though, I wouldn't call it a good habit.

imagine how much money youd save if you just stopped wasting it away on gimick energy drinks. If you werent addicted to caffeine, you wouldnt need it. Keep your tolerance up for when you actually do.

I agree. Nothing will come of it.
Think of all those business execs that drink 10+ cups of coffee a day. That ends up being around 1000mg of caffeine a day where as with 1 or 2 energy drinks day you MIGHT get 500-600mg max.
Unless you have any preexisting heart conditions, you'll be fine.
And don't let any of the crackpot conspiracy theorists on these boards tell you otherwise.

Crackpot conspiracy theorist here...
Quote:
"There’s no long-term research on how caffeine, taurine and glucuronolactone interact in the body. That has some countries saying: ‘No studies? No thank you.’"
" Countries like Norway, Denmark and France are so nervous about the can’s contents, they’ve banned the sale of Red Bull.
French nutritionist Isabelle Vanrullen, who works with the country’s food safety agency, says France banned the brew because of how the ingredients in Red Bull interact:
“There are various side effects for each one of these three substances, which vary in degrees of severity. And they can also interact with each other.”
The French health committee canned the sale of Red Bull, partly because a study found that rats fed taurine exhibited bizarre behaviour. That behaviour, says Vanrullen, included: "anxiety, irritability, a high sensitivity to noise --sudden jumps in their cages-- and most of all, self-mutilations."
there is no guarantee you'll be fine. You'd do well to lose the habit. http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/files/health/redbull/index.html

In most animal studies they are feeding the animals amounts of the drug that are way higher than the doses humans would take. (Like the Onley's Lesions study).
Besides, that study was done by French people... Why would you ever trust the French?

I drank a Monster or two a day for about 4 years. I'm still alive, I never had any side effects except for sweating too much... which is to be expected when using any stimulant.
I had to stop using caffiene due to a new medication I'm on. If I drink it I get anxiety attacks now. Sucks though, because I really like the flavor of the low carb Monsters.

I used to drink Redbull every morning, and I'm pretty sure the extra sugars didn't help at all.
I'm really starting to learn about what foods are better to eat, and living a healthier lifestyle (little over 2 months clean from fast food!!).
If you eat a healthier diet where you get all the nutrients your body needs, your body will have natural, healthy fuel to give you natural energy- opposed to depending on caffeine and sugar for temporary and unhealthy spurts of energy.
If you choose to take the route of eating healthier, you're not going to feel the results right away... in fact you're most likely going to feel miserable a few days and get headaches from lack of caffeine.
Natural food is more expensive than cheap fast food, but if you cut out pop and energy drinks, you'll actually save money.
If you don't want to make this big of a lifestyle change, but you're still concerned about drinking energy drinks yet you still want the caffeine, I would suggest buying no-doze and taking them with healthier drinks, such as organic juices, fresh brewed tea, or plain old H2O. No doze is cheaper than energy drinks and designer energy/diet pills, yet they still deliver the caffeine.

I created this graph based on scientific data to show the effects of excess caffeine and sugar caused to the body by consumption of energy drinks.

Hope that helps.
