Pre-sterilized jars are total waste of money. if you're new to the hobby, buying those would be the very wrong decision, because a) Dealing with PF jars (including sterilization) is VERY easy and b) you have to learn it anyway.
Twelve wide mouth jars cost about 4 bucks. Verm and brown rice is another 10 maybe (depending on much verm you get).
You can boil them on your own?
So, why do you think you'd need any pre-sterilized jars?
And I don't really get the question of where "we" buy them?
Answer: No where!
Most of the people in here use self made PF-Jars, due to above mentioned arguments!

Buy 1/2 pint, wide mouth jars from Giant Eagle, Kroger, Ace Hardware, etc. Any store that has a canning section; most groceries and hardwares have them. You'll get 12 jars for slightly under 10 dollars. That's the way to go. Next you need to buy a pressure cooker from walmart. You'll spend 35 or so for a 6 qt. which I find perfect for doing pf teks with. Finding the vermiculite seems to be a challenge for some people. Try Lowes or Home Depot; if no luck there, go to a garden center of some sort. They usually have the inside of the store open in the winter. Hope this helps.

You don't necessarily need wide mouth jars with lids, so ANY wide mouthed drinkin' glass would do.
Guess you won't have a problem finding them for that price.
Anyway, even "real" wide mouth jars with lids, don't cost more than 10 bucks, as it was already stated.

They cost about $6 where I'm at. You can get a small cheap pressure cooker at walmart for $30. That's about $37 for your first dozen and around $6-7 for each dozen after that, not counting substrate.
Buying presterilized jars is a ripoff. Not buying the PC is going to cost you a lot in the long run since you won't be able to sterilize all the different things you need to advance beyond the most basic level in this hobby.
Besides once you have a PC you can use all sorts of containers. Just go down to the recycling center and pick out #5 plastics. Those are PP and will survive PCing. Grab whatever sizes seem convienient and tinfoil the tops. Cost = Free
