K, so im gathering my supplies today. And plan on basing my grow from the simple grow guide.
To start the incubation, im to use a two bin set up , with heated water in between the two. My question concerns the bins. Would i matter if i used styrofoam over some sort of plastic for the bins?

I presume your heating the water with a thermostatically controlled fish tank heater.
The outside in styrofoam would be fine, but it would be pointless having the inside one made of styrofoam as it would insulate its contents from the warm water.
If you can get a plastic tub to go inside the styrofoam one....

Alright, so that first question was very moronic- excuse me. I've decided to go with the styrofoam, its cheaper and easy to cut holes into.
Now, onto an aquatic heater.... what wattage should i get?

K, thanks for the tip shaggy. I guess wattage doesnt really matter, as long as it can hit 82~
Does using H2O2 for the incubator make the system that much less likely to contam the jars, when compared to just plain water?

Or maybe my answer was moronic!!! lol
They are normally based on litres of tank they are designed to heat so that depends upon the size of the tub.
I've read that the smaller wattage ones are more likely to blow, but I have a 25W in a tit and a 100W one elsewhere, and they are both doing fine (operating in an attic!
Given that you are using styrofoam on the outside I'd think you can get away with a low wattage one as you will be loosing very little heat so it won't need to work very hard.
I like the styrofoam idea....

H202 won't last long in there so will be a waste of cash! I just use plain ole water but then my water isn't enclosed in the way yours will be with a lid on.
You could ake a water based heater for your styrofoam tub. A big ass tupperware container with water and the heater in it, with the lid on. Make a hole in it for the cable and seal it with silicone.
Voila no exposed water and a nice warm tub....
