Enjoy the light blue veil.

Tell me miss expert WHERE IS YOUR PURPLE NOW HUH!?
You love to hate me, huh?
FLIP IT OVER! DUR! You're showing the underside of the veil. When the mushroom is right side up, standing untouched, the veil hangs down showing the other side, which is purple/brown with spore deposits.
Such a poor example.

Yeah, it is atypical. Look at the smaller one in background of that same picture. purple veil.
Whenever I draw mushrooms in class (which is VERY often), I always draw the veil purplish...or as purplish as I can with a black pen.

Home grown shrooms are cool, I mean what's not to like about mushrooms growing in your closet, but there's something about the thrill of searching a field full of cow shit. Plus, the excitement of seeing that patch of 4 or 5 whitish gold circles glowing in the middle of the grassy field is unbeatable. Damn, I can't wait till spring and the first find of the year!

I know there are variations in species, but the veil not falling is unusual. Wild or cultivated.
The fact that you always try and 1-up me (even when you are off base- which you usually are) shows that you're insecure.

Just because YOU see it ALL THE TIME (whatever that entails), doesn't mean that what you are seeing (all the time) is the species norm.

I have seen it often too, not the most common though. Maybe it's a Texas thing...

>Right but if its seen a lot here, then that means its the species >norm for here
No. That is not what it means. So far you have two people with anecdotal evidence, AND as slash and yourself admit, it's not the "most common", thus you cannot call it the "norm" for the species Ps. cubensis nor for the Texas population. You have no idea how science or logic works.
>Curecat has never hunted wild cubes so she doesnt know anything >about the subject.. >Shes only seen cultivated perfect condition cubes
Actually, that does not follow. I know a LOT about hunting Ps. cubensis, just like I knew a lot about hunting Ps. cyanescens before I ever found them. And then my first day in the area that Ps. cyanescens grows, i found some... I am of course not saying that it was my expertise, certainly a lot of it was chance. However, when I set eyes on them, there was NO doubt in my mind.
Furthermore, you'll note that I am the Hunting mod, not the Cultivation mod.... Don't assume I cover my eyes every time I see a wild cube, and only focus on the "perfect" cultivated specimens. I have seen HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of photos of wild and cultivated cubes.
Your reasoning is flawed.

It might not be "the norm" but its so common that its normal
Case closed i win
And by the way, youve seen pictures of hunted cubes? no way :O i thought you only looked at some of the posts :O:O

Implee,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am going to hunt this week with all the rain we have had, but yall need to play nicer. You have a lot to add, but CureCat does have the knowledge and is a moderator. I would like to continue to see your posts and your experiences. PLAY NICE!
Thanks, Nushroom
