I am sure i have read this before but i cant seem to find it. Can i drop a pin or piece of live tissue into a wbs jar to clone that particular mushroom? and if not, besides agar, are there any other easy ways to clone? would a lc work ?

And when it comes to that fantastic note where the rabbit bites its own head off, I want you to THROW THAT FUCKING RADIO INTO THE TUB WITH ME! Not me. LC Cloning Tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5874305#5874305
I wouldnt suggest directly dropping in a pin, it may work but you will have higher success rates with the LC cloning or agar

good read.
on a test I used multispore syringe to make lc, growth accumalated and I inoc'd 20 jars. 3 days later 1 jar has a small spec, looks transparent and almost white, i think it'll go green

if you don't have a glovebox, you can use oven bags... I'd say pay attention to the drawing diagram as it's more first time friendly... you can do what you said, clone to wbs... the advantage of that over LC is you will see if you have contam issues quickly on the grain and if you clone to wbs, when you break up the grain and add water, you'll end up with finely shreaded myc...

That pic right below the diagram is one done with two jars of lc... it's damn safe.. safer than a glovebox iyam.
OR if you want to just use a glovebox, you can clone to a grain jar and once the grain jar has colonized, you can break the jar up... then inject sterile water via syringe... swoosh the water around minimally as to not lose too much of it as it coats the grain kernels and extract what water hasn't clung to kernels... then use that water to inoc new LC's or what have you to keep the culture going. and that way you can still use the grain to spawn or grow out on it's own. good luck!
