It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain and leave the Shroomery.' ~ Jim Morrison

Watch the first video to get a little more insight. I've heard a handful of POWs speak on it at RP rallies and it sounds fucked up.
There are hundreds of POWs claimed to have been taken alive, that were never seen again. The families want to know what happened to them. Some believe that some of them are still alive and being held captive. They want answers.
Apparently, McCain was put on a commission to investigate and they decided, they are all dead, case closed at that hearing.
The families want proof that they were killed, or they want them brought back home. She was crying because she was faced with realizing our government isn't going to do anything more about finding out what happened to these guys.
Ron Paul is still working on it for them though.

One of the problems there I gather is that there was some agreement that POWs on either side were not to be killed.
The families want confirmation if they were killed, after being taken alive, so the Vietnamese Government can then be charged with war crimes.
This gets tricky because, apparently from testimony in the first video, our government knew that POWs were being executed and kept it hush to make sure pilots would continue to fly their missions.
All sorts of cover up crap can coming flying out of Pandora's box if these families get the real sort of investigation and confirmation they seek and are owed to the best of our ability.
If 30 years later they can say, well we have to assume they are dead, they are off the hook. If they have to admitt, they knew they were dead all along and never told the families, uhhhhhh......not good for someone.
Some accuse McCain of helping to cover up for people in our own government by stopping the investigations into what happened to the POW's and MIA's.
I do know that a lot of Vets and POW's are pissed off at McCain for lot's of reasons and that there is a ton of stuff on the internet about them if you want to search further.
Big fucking mess I doubt the POWs, Vets or families are going to let die down anytime soon.

Lots of people are mad at other people for lots of reasons. What I mean by that is that in ANY group there is the normal distribution of imbalanced people, conspiracy theorists and slime-peddlers. Vets are no exception. Many of them came away from Vietnam scarred and bitter and have been looking to take it out on someone ever since. Vietnam and Watergate taught them government cannot be trusted. Ever. Sadly, they will go to their graves this way.
Given McCain's own experience in Vietnam he would be the last person on Earth to close the book on this matter if he thought there was anything to it. It has been investigated thoroughly. Time for the country to move on.
I don't blame family members for being emotional on the subject, however. They are not coming from a place of logic and reason; They are still grieving in a way. I do blame the partisans who push these stories without checking their credibility first. They will post any old thing written if it they think it will be damaging. But it's the internet age. Just because someone has a computer and an internet connection doesn't mean they are informed and should be quoted as some kind of an authority.

McCain is running for President. This group is out there and against him for their own reasons. Those are two obvious facts of life.
What it means to people after that is a part of what discussion here is about.
I'll tell you what it means to me. It means it's time to go wash my car and get some sunshine!:)
