Wet Horse Poo

I have got a cooler 1/2 full of pasteurized soppy wet horse poo. I need someone to help me at this stage and maybe someday I can help others. My question is, "What do I do now?". I got 2 jars of WBS ready to mix with the poo but I really don't know how dry/wet the poo is supposed to be. Must I put it in pillow cases and wring it out or just stir and let it drain some more. It is still pretty wet. From here it goes to my large gray tub for casing. If you are one of the people that use this procedure, please help me out. By the way, nobody mentioned the aroma you get when you add water to poo. I should have known. SHAZAM, almost knocked me out. I got to find something less fragrant. What do you like to use? Thanks

You'll likely need to re-pasteurize the manure, as it sounds like it may be laden with bacterial contaminates. I don't know how long it sat there for, but I wouldn't use out of a cooler. Pasteurize the substrate.
Here are some common techniques on how to best achieve pasteurization:
Bulk Substrates

I filled the cooler 2/3 full of poo and added a HUGE pot of 170-175 degree water and closed the lid and let it cool overnight. It has been draining for 24 hrs.

Since the manure appears to be freshly pasteurized, I would spend some time squeezing the moisture out of the manure by hand. You want to grab a handful of manure and squeeze enough out so that only a few drops come out on a gentle squeeze.
Load into your tub or container of choice and introduce the spawn. In my personal opinion and experience, I would give the manure a harder squeeze than normal, as the manure tends to perform better when it's slightly on the dry side. Too wet and you have bacterial contaminates take the substrate over, too dry and nothing will happen at all.

you want to mix the poo with straw and squeeze out excess moisture so the poo and straw are moist but not running wet. put it in a turkey pan, cover it with aluminum foil and bake it at 475 temp for 2 hours. after that, let it cools to room temp then mix in your wbs.
