Fastest colonized jars.

I saw a post recently about tips and stuff to get your jars to colonize faster. I've done a bit of searching and found alot of methods. I do not have a flowhood anymore so g2g is out for now. I don't even want to try it in a glovebox. It would be nice to have jars colonized in under a week, but that would be pretty difficult without g2g. What is some of you guys' current methods for fastest colonization. Any suggestions for multispore? All I have for LC right now is Karo. What do you guys prefer and what kind of mixture? I like to use dextrose, but i'm out.

LC is your best bet. Karo is just as good as any other sugar source for LC's. Use 4% Karo to whatever amount of water you're using.

What is your experience with containers? For my jars, I use two holes. One of which is covered with silicon for an injection port. I also put tyvek under the lid.

I reccomend a lid with 2 holes.
1 small hole sealed with silicone.
1 finger sized hole filled with polyfill.
Pain in the ass to setup lids until you get the technique down, but the colonization, IMO, was faster then using tyvec. Once you got it, you can polyfill a dozen lids in less then 10 minutes. The trick is not to use too much, use less then you would think. It quickly becomes too bulky to pull through the hole.
Plus you NEVER break ANY seal during injection! I've injected in open air with no problems.
Although HEPA filter + oreck air purifier work nice too.

Good thing about poly lids...
Is that if you are ready to load more jars immediately after emptying some,\ a quick water rinse w/ brush will get off all the grain + mycelium from the jar + lid and you don't even had to soap it or replace the polyfil before your PC your next batch. Assuming there were no contaminants.
Be careful though, make sure your jars + lids are fully rinsed.
Nothing sticks like multiple generations of cooked on crap.

well g2g does not have a so high contam rate depending on how fast you work , even though im new i have made 3 g2g in a still air box ( even without the gloves ) and got 18 jars colonized without contaminations . I dont say that it is contam free but if you work fast and work in glovebox with sterile techniques you can pull a rate of %80 - %100 success rate even without a flowhood in a glovebox . By the way g2g kicks lc's ass in my experience , it always colonized faster

What else do you need?
Water Jar Spores = LC
Take Karo and add 2-3 tbls to 600-700ml of water and PC @ 15 psi for 20 minutes = LC!
My jars(quarts of WBS) colonize fully in 6 days using a Karo LC!
I use Tyvek and one hole for polyfill on my jars(Just like I do my grain jars)

6 days? That sounds pretty good. I'd like to hear more on this. I think I will make up some Karo LC's. Would it be better to use a quart jar or what size jar do you use?

Quart jars are the way.
Filled 3/4 of the way up.
Shake at 20% colonization, again at 50% or so.
Shaking DRAMATICALLY increases colonization time.
Shaking at different 3 times during colonization works well.
LC + Shake + Rye - jars are usually done in 7-9 days.
