Yo bro, I wouldn't munch on those 'til we figure out what they are...
So... I can't help you, I'm not a mycology expert, sorry, but I know someone on here can.
If you don't get an answer, I'd recommend doing some reading before the next 'harvest' lol --
Question: I have a farm in my state that my family owns, and another one up the street that has some horses... Do you actually get a lot of fucking shrooms? Like, I saw a bag in that picture of yours, and I'd love to get a sac like that...
Also, I'm fucking tired. sorry for being so sloppy and help...less.

Looks like stropharia, maybe semiglobata, I'm not sure. A purple/brown spore print will confirm this. At any rate, they are not active.

nope, no actives. I'll second lou's guess of stropharia of some kind, or maybe agrocybe. I can't tell what those others are, but they arn't active either. Cow pastures aren't the greatest place to look for actives in your area.

They sure look a lot like Stropharia, but if the gills only turn from white to tan as the spores mature, it might be something with a light colored spore print.
Try printing one on tinfoil in case the print is white.
They look a little like Armillaria to me, and you said they were around wood, so that is my guess.

Given that spore print color, its could be
http://mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Stropharia_coronilla.html
or
http://mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Stropharia_semiglobata.html
I don't see much green/blue staining in the picture. Is it really there? If so, maybe this is one of the blue stropharia's that only has a tiny bit of color.
Unless the mushrooms are turning blue where they are damaged, they are not active.

no i agree they arent active but i didnt get a pic of the greenish ill try when my bro gets home. they dont really bruise it was just there. yes i must agree possibly stropharia semiglobata. ill keep some for the id collection lol. what would be your opinions on where to hunt out here in the bay this time of year. its cloudy right now lookin for a storm it rained once day b4 yesterday and a big storm is comin on through sun. i assume p.cyanescens or p.cyanofriscosa.

I have no idea what your question is....
But I'll try and answer it anyway!
Yes, the most common and sought after wild actives in the Bay Area are Ps. cyanescens and "Cyanofriscosa", however, the season for them (fall-winter) just ended. You'll have to wait till fall until you are likely to find any. You can go out now, and you might find some rotting ones, or if you're really lucky, you might find a late fruiting patch. But i doubt it.
Start hunting for random things, get aqcuainted with hunting, and scope out some grounds to check when the season hits. There were 2 or 3 spots i noted earlier in the year, and when fall hit i went to check them out, and sure enough...
