ive never had these bumps before anyone know what causes them?

Those are mycelial knots. Knotting occurs when two rhizo fronts approach each other. The result is a small bolus of entangled mycelium. It's actually a good sign that your mycelium is nice and hearty...although, I would case that bad boy. The only problem I can see with your tray is that because there are so many knots, you will probably have some overlay problems. Is that cased already...?

no i cased it a couple days ago to see what will happen... i should have put a lighter there for reference, but the bin is about 6 x 14 and the knots are the size of popcorn kernels... the pic was taken after the sub (coir/coffee/gypsum) was colonized... i had 2 other casings identical to this one, and one had green mold, so im worried this is contams disguising themselves in white... but i guess ill just have to see in the next few days to know for sure. thanks for the replies :smile:
