How long is too long?

Im am soaking my wbs its going on 48 hours, I have rinsed several times during this periond of time, think it can go another day? I don't have too much time tonight to pc, due to the fact my lids aren't ready yet. Thanks!

why not dump the oversoaked stuff, and start a new soak right now, so in a day youll be ready? ive never used wbs but ive read the soak is not as crucial as it is with rye...

you could try putting it in a strainer to drain and cover it with plastic wrap or something. i doubt it'd dry out too much.

just test the seed on the day you decide to pc. Check for water content, like how smooshy the seed gets, it should be moist enough to split with fingernail but not enough to where it just smashes easily. If they have not began to sprout you should be good, if the water content is right you should be okay without simmering.

I just finshed doing a 2nd 20lb bag (18 quarts), at the last batch (4 qts) i forgot the pc was running after 90 mins bec i was on phone and they look dark... lol.. oh well

They don't smash easily. it still takes a little pressure to crush with my fingernails. none are sprouting yet, ill just jar em up for now do the lids tomorrow after work then pc em! thanks!

I'f you're going to pc tomorrow I'd leave them soaking until tomorrow.
