EQ vs B+
    #8048338 - 02/20/08 05:30 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Is anyone able to tell me if EQ tends to colonize faster than B+? I finally decided to look at my jars and notice that none of my B+ have any myc and most of my EQ do. I also inoculated my EQ after B+.

B+ is not known to win any speed races. A fun strain... B+.

IMO, from a multispore innoc, EQ is noticeably faster than B+... but that opinion is not based in solid science.

As long as there are no contams, be patient... all is probably well.

B+ seems to fuck with a n00b's patience. Watch these boards. You'll soon see what I mean. It is spooky.

ty  .. i had a lot of cakes flush like that off eq multispore .. if you want another fast colonizer , treasure coast is pretty badass too .. flushes great too .. and the trip is sublime .. bit on the thin side though .. they make up for it in quantity and quality though !

B+ and EQ are both popular newbie strains.

Both are reliable... but I like B+ better because it teaches you PATIENCE. A key to mycology is patience. Without it, you will make many mistakes.

When did you innoc?

a lot of people knock the b+'s for the potency. but i think its a very nice and mellow trip. i like to go to amusmentparks on b+'s..

the good thing about b+ like stated above is that it teaches patience.. that and the fact that they are very forgiving to their environmental conditions/surroundings.

all my experiments are run with b+'s since they are so easy.

I even got 3 flushes out of a cased dish pan (14 quarts i think?)... after the three flushes i scraped off all the casing layer, dunked it, and placed it upside down on a cookie sheet and is now in the fruiting chamber like a giant cake (like hippie) and it is still throwing out mushies..

i think they can handle a lot of abuse and neglect..

Go to the strain thread. And to all you who say "OMG EQ colonizes so much faster than B+" I'll say "Bullshit". It's luck of the draw on multispore. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. It's all chance. Go with the MushGod.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
At different times I've heard fastest colonizer, best contamination resistance, most rhizomorphic, most potent, biggest, littlest, least potent, least rhizomorphic, no contamination resistance and slowest colonizer from each and every so-called 'strain' out there. Strain is for the most part irrelevant to growing. All other factors are much more important. That's why we created the strain thread to strain questions don't clog up the main forum. Keep it there please.
