And then try throwing with your left hand.
It is impossible!

The pitcher on my wooden bat team can throw with both arms, sort of. He pitches with his left and plays centerfield with his right.
-------------------- So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

This is why we have kids, to live through them. I will teach mine to throw and hit both handed. If he fails, I'll just have another and ignore my first.

Honestly, if you love your kids tie their right arm behind their back and make them pitch left-handed.
Even a shitty left-handed pitcher can make millions of dollars.

Now that I think about it, no way in hell is my kid gonna be a professional baseball player. Baseball's cool and all, but if I'm gonna have to watch tons of shitty travel teams when he's a kid it sure isn't gonna be baseball.

Is this just a D1 rule I wonder, or an MLB one as well?

When I played basketball in HS, I could shoot equally well with both hands. When I was a kid I shot right handed until I was like 13 and then switched to left-handed for some reason I can't remember. It was great, though. I could shoot 3's with both hands.
Unfortunately I was also a white 5'10" guard, so that's all they wrote about my prospects of going any further.

I don't think you can "make" someone left or right-handed. My little brother, before he was adopted, was forced to write right-handed, but he couldn't. They wouldn't let him write lefty. Fucking weird, that.

When I was young my grandmother would always make me do things right handed whenever she saw me doing them left handed. As a result I write with my right hand, throw left handed, bowl right handed, eat food with my left hand and I can do a lot of things with either hand/arm.

With the salaries pitchers get these days they should really think about developing robots instead

Bender: Clem Johnson? That skin bag wouldn't have lasted one pitch in the old Robot Leagues! Now Wireless Joe Jackson, there was a blern hitting machine!
Leela: Exactly! He was a machine designed to hit blerns! I mean come on! Wireless Joe was nothing but a programmable bat on wheels.
Bender: Oh and I suppose pitching at 5000 was just a modified howitzer.
Leela: Yep.

forcing kids to use the other hand they were born to use could be the cause of dyslexia, theyre usually left handers forced to use their right at an early age
"He also observed that the children he worked with were disproportionately left- or mixed-handed, although this finding has been difficult to replicate.[19]"
