Vinyl Toxic

Hello,
We are constructing a sterile laboratory for our grows.
We use asbestos filters and white reflecting plastic for creating a closed double room. with double door entry
However we want also plastic on the floor. Obvious reasons / hygiene and cleaning ofcourse.
Now i remember from my experience vinyl is higly toxic for Weed plants. turning them yellow and eventually they die. As it seems even at room temprature 20C it excretes toxics.
My questions are:
- are mushrooms affacted by this? does anyone encountered problems, or uses vinyl as a floor?
- Does anyone also have experience using asbestos filters? i would like to know about experiences with it. our alternative is to use pond plastic, but i rather have vinyl if possible.
Comments are Higly appreciated.
Greetings,

How could vinyl on the floor or walls have any effect on your petri dishes or jars of substrate? RR

I've never heard of this even being a problem w/ plants. Sounds like it could have been a different problem... Anyway you're good to go. Sounds like you're putting some thought into it.

hi,
http://www.wietforum.nl/uploads/1163953171/med_gallery_7713_557_39150.jpg
This is the effect is has on marijuana plants, the week makers already start to become airborne at at temperature at 20C
Since the room is heated kept at around 25-26 C and also because the mushrooms are fruiting in the same room. i have this concern. I do not know if the week makers can penetrate the filters i have in my jars.
Greetings. -----
Vinyl is a plastic and contains PVC (polyvinyl chloride), fillers and week makers. Concerning the health risks of week makers still At combustion hydrochlorates arise (salts and salt acid).

Check my reply of RR's post.
Vinyl in combination with marijuana growing caused alot of problems already. The problem exists and you should never use a vinyl floor if you grow weed.
I just want to know if the problem occurs with this kind of growing

Lol. That doesn't sound safe. Isn't asbestos bad for you?
Get some HEPA filters and rig that bitch up!

asbestos filters= not filters made out of asbestos.
Filters designed to filter out asbestos particles.
ranging from 0.1 microns to 3 microns

Haha. Sorry man. It's early. I don't think the toxins would hurt anything. Most of the mushie stuff will be sealed anyway. With the hepa filter it should stay pretty clean in there. Definitely make sure it filters down to .3 microns at 99.7% effective and you should be good to go.
