I have 4 pints brewing, wbs with equador strain. I have 1 jar thats over 95% colonized and I jumped the gun and soaked simmered and pc'd 4 qts of WBS, they'll be inoc ready in a few hours, or morning, I am wantig to increase my amount of spawn and wondered if it was okay to go ahead and G2G into the quarts...

Would the same rule apply (say fuck it and do it) to dropping a 95'r into some coir? I'm guessing that's a no no, but I'll be interested to see a response.

yep, I discovered "more of mysef to kill" on stereokiller back in 2002, been hooked since. Can't wait to see them again this summer, the tour with dream theater should be epic.

You should only use fully colonized spawn for grain to grain transfers. RR

No worries, especially if you did it in a glovebox or other sterile environment. I've done it a few times, with great success.
RR, can you give another reason it would be bad? Aside from contamination risks?

I did it in a still air box, wearing gloves and using a sterilized spoon, the lids didnt stay cracked long and the transfer was smooth.
Time will tell

that's tight..
i haven't had any contams with wbs that i couldn't take care of.. and i'm far from sterile.
dont wanna jinx myself..
rye, on the other hand.. pssh
finally got it to work bout a week ago and the casing is looking very nice..
i like wbs better personally, though.. might have to start lookin at rye cuz im bout out of wbs
