You can pretty much mist as often as you want, even after pin formation. Basically, just keep your casing moist and you'll be golden.

So after doing some reading I realize that the mycelium melted because I dind't have my mister set on the right setting. I was blasting the crap out of it and probably damaged it. Its still white, but looks kinda shriveled (its not dry though). Should I put them back to incubate more and recover or just leave them?

when i mist, i don't spray directly on the casing. i mist overhead and lets it slowly falls down into the casing like fine mist rain.

I spray the casing til I see pins and when they start popping up I spray the walls of the FC and over them so it falls on the perlite and the casing. It is really a matter of preference. When I grew Pans for the 1st time I had a shitload of work come up so I opened the lid of the FC a lil and just left my tropicaire on 24-7...it was a lil hotter then it should have been but I only got to mist every other day and once and they were fine. The substrate had been contaminated anyway and eventually won, I prob helped it with the heat but I will do better next...still got 1/2oz dry so I can't bitch too much

You can mist 3 times per hour if you have great FAE and the mist is fine.
An ultra-sonic provides the smallest mist particles, IMO.

Hmmm well I see no new mycelium growth. Its been over a day since the 'misting' incident and there is no new growth/change. Before that when they were incubating I could see new growth with only a couple of hours of time passing.
Is this normal when the temp is dropped and moved to the FC? Or is it because of my bad first mist?

Ya I know I misted too hard. Should I put a small layer of casing on top and put it back incubating?

Just hold off on misting until it dries out a little. You should be good.

I decided just to put a small layer of casing on top just enough to cover and will put back in the FC when it pops through the top again. Set me back 2 days but figure thats better than a poor flush.

You are fine dude. You are telling it to pin to stop growing and to start fruiting. So chill mist the thing 3 times a day in this order mist then fan really good couple hours later mist fan really good and so on .You don't want the myc to grow any more you want all its nutrients and energy to go into fruiting. Your casing looks a lil behind for fruiting but I think it will be fine.Calm down, in a week you will have pins if that long. Peace I'm out
