personally, id like to think things like LSD, Mesc., etc. reveal more about ourselves, and our own minds
as iv stated before, i do not tie religion with psychedelics
but there is still the thought in my brain that psychedelics are simply just a drug, altering our mind, and nothing more
have fun with it

As one who delved deep into meditation and psychedelics, I could never understand how the two were commingled except that popularity in the west arose around the same time through the influence of The Beatles, Donovan, Leary, Alpert, etc.
The states arrived at bear zero similarity to this poster.

'...I could never undertsand how the two were commingled except that...'

It is true that the strength of the connection between Eastern spiritual traditions and psychedelics has been exaggerated by their coincidental rise in popularity in the West.
However, meditation and psychedelics can both be used as intellectual tools, and thus many who are interested in one find themselves drawn to the other. You yourself said you have delved both into psychedelics and meditation.

They are similar in a way that they can make one more self-aware and distached from identification. Sometimes deep meditation feels like the comedown of a mushroom trip, a feeling of deep connection with myself and the earth.

I think some folks are able to "tap" into the spirit world and some just never will. On that note...I don't expect anyone else to believe what I do regarding God and the use of medicines (mushroom, mescaline, etc)...as I believe what I believe due to my personal experience and I can only hope other folks might have some personal experience of their own that leads to their own personal divine truth or whatever. A principality to seeking divine is you have to believe in it a little bit...I think the common word is "faith"...you just need a little...so that leaves the subject open to fire to say whatever divine is simply a resurrected imprint from ideas already in your mind...an elaborate illusion.
I think the important thing is that we don't discount our own experiences when the majority of the population disagrees with the concept....GO WITH GOD- God knows the human kind is fucked.

'God knows the human kind is fucked.'
This would explain it then. Thank you. God is angry about this??

i dont think there is a spirit world, just our imaginations. our imagination is so much more fascinating and dynamic than a world
because unlike a world it doesn't have boundaries

I'm becoming more and more convinced that what we call "the spirit world" is synonymous with "imagination."

I dont know if i would call it god. But infinity is possibly impossible for the human mind to completely grasp, and if you did completely understand it, you would become it, and cease to be human as you currently understand human to be.

I don't think the "Psychedelic Infinity" can be understood by mankind. We can view and experience it (through psychedelics) but nobody, imho, can fully understand it.
I like what DimensionX had to say about it too...
