On facebook, I had my status as "So-and-so is loving his hemp milk".
A friend of mine writes me and says
Her: Is hemp milk what I'm thinking it is?
Me: Hey there! If this is what you were thinking about hemp milk: http://www.manitobaharvest.com/
then yes, it's what you thought it was. Other than that, I don't know? Hemp is the most nutritionally complete food on the planet. It's wonderful!
Her: you know that hemp is supposedly what they make weed out of, right?
Lol... I'm in no way trying to make fun of her... she really is a nice girl. This is just another (hilarious) example of the misinformation that people have.
BTW, I responded:
"lol... Hemp is a biological cousin of marijuana. Non-psychoactive (it doesn't get you high) and extremely useful as a crop and as food. And no one "makes" weed, except God. It's a plant and it grows out of the ground."

in actuality it looks like hemp seed only contains a few fatty acids, proteins, fiber and mostly fats

Yeah, I probably went a bit overboard calling it the most nutritionally complete food on the planet... but its up there. The protein it has is complete protein, and the fats it has are the perfect ratio of omega 6 to omega 3.
And that's only macronutrients. It has other beneficial micro- and phyto-nutrients as well

if you google "most nutritionally complete food", hemp seed and bee pollen come up I see all sorts of claims about it having this and that but the only thing it lists is fiber, the omega-x fatty acids, protein and the like, theres no vitamins from everything I've been seeing
now human flesh on the other hand, a healthy human eats what you need, people contain the vitamin, minerals and micro nutrients you need, I'm thinking those hemp seed peddlers are just pushing more snake oil

Eh no... But as you know, hemp is illegal to grow in the good ol' US of A so any hemp product is going to be from Canada. I get the Manitoba Harvest hempmilk from Earth Fare, an organic/natural grocery store where I live.
You ever heard of a restaurant in Canada (might be a few of them) that serves food in complete pitch blackness? Apparently the waiters have to escort you around and your food comes already cut up. But the pitch blackness is supposed to heighten your sense of taste. My roommate visited Canada over winter break and told me about it.

I have heard of that, yes... there's one in Montreal
Kind of pointless if you know how to slow down and eat mindfully. I do have eyelids.
