I think I have become officially "over" this election

there isnt a candidate running anymore that I would even waste the energy on hunching over their body and squeezing out a few links of turdage on.
there realy should be some sort of test regarding political knowledge that you must pass before you can vote. Im so tired of the majority of america being akin to a herd of cattle that run one way when you make a loud noise. and yes, let me be the first to post about the voting tests designed to keep blacks out... frankly in this day and age, if you cant read, or tell me who the last president and VP were, then you shouldnt be able to vote. I dont care who it keeps out.
this is what popular culture does... it errodes away the foundation of what it was built upon and all you are left with is a thin, waxy veneer with zero substance filling it. the masses have yearned for simplicity and urged the bar to be set at lowest common denominator. this is why I rally against pop music so much. it is mindless fluff, not saying anything, not expressing anything... but it just feels good. that is all we want, to feel good... if we try to go any deeper, we may not have enough candy for the whole classroom. these candidates are the fucking nickelback of politics. different lyrics over the same crappy licks.
I am officially not voting. and it isnt a statement I am trying to make, but merely the fact that I am tired of voting so that the person I hate doesnt get in office. well, I hate them all pretty equally. Ron Paul was the only candidate I have ever been enthused by, he was the only person that really meant what he said, and said what he meant. he is an honest and good person and this country is at best, only going to plateau at this shitheap, clustefuck of excessive spending and cock stroking of corporations. and to the eventual replies of lonestar and ZIGgy, yeah, we have it pretty good in america, but it could be way better. just because we arent chopping peoples arms off and raping small villages of women doesnt mean that as the eyes of the world are on us, we cant continue to try and raise the bar for humanity and be an example of how we can usher in a new p[aradigm of global cohesion rather than festering in our own shit and saying "eh, as long as american idol and greys anatomy comes on when it is supposed to, I got no reason to complain".

i hear you. I disagree with many people on this forum but at least they know what the fuck is going on!
i asked a guy the other day who he is voting for in November and he said:
"i would never vote for a black dude" "so I guess I'm going to have to vote for the white lady".....
I told him a white guy was also running and said he did not know that!

America is NOT a 'terrible' place (yet).
