Well they pretty much seem to be the exact same thing to me except one tub has a flat lid and the other has another tub as a lid. Is there any thing else that would make someone choose to do one over the other?

double tub is 2 tubs in each other and like a dub tub incubater the 2nd tub controls the temps with an aquarium heater... I see what your saying though ive heard alot of people call the dub tubs the tek where you stack a tub on top of the other but im pretty sure thats a monotub.

He is not talking about a TiT he is talking about a Double Tub Grow Chamber.
HeadFood, I think that with a double setup the mushes get more air or something and better yields.

I agree with Fungi_x. The only difference is a bigger chamber with more volume for air flow. If you properly add holes for FAE, you should be fine.

so then for better yields it would be better for me to use a double tub rather than a mono tub....right?

probably not, its unlikely that your yields will be much different between the two
from what i've researched monotubs seem to be more than sufficient, double tubs seem like overkill to me, just my opinion

Mono tubs have their place in grow chambers aside from double tubs because they fill the gap between small and large. You can easily take a smaller 19 qt tub and make a double tub for great yields, but this feat would be much more difficult using a mono tub of the same size. The double tubs also allow you to go much larger, as it is very difficult to find a single tub that is long and deep enough to provide enough hole placement for proper spacing.
They each have their place in cultivation, but one cannot replace the other when we talk about the broad spectrum of functionality.

yes, for example if you do a bulk straw substrate, a monotub is often impossible due to substrate depths.
i cam up with the monotub seeing the doubletubs.

This info in the FAQ's? If not it would be a great addition!
