Anyone watch this movie?

At I think the 30 minute mark when the cook and Ross go to the truck stop and ask the cashier if shes got some more of those pills.

There probably some kind of Speedy pills and shes like what you gonna do with all these and he responds something along the lines of bringing it to Russia because theres a lot of tired truckers and all and shes like what a nice Christian thing to do.

This movie looks and sounds like it's shot in a backwoods state of America or something but I can't believe people are really like that.

When he walked in she was saying something about Meth to a customer and she didn't even know the name she said Metalphetamine and then she sells a whole box of those probably pseudo or ephedrine pills to him and says it's a nice thing to do.

Ignorance like that is just fucked up with all these ignorant propoganda believing religious nuts for lack of better words.

I dont think you know a lot about film. This movie is a classic, jason schwartzman (sp) is one of the best actors in the biz right now.

A good movie featuring speed addicts is Another Day In Paradise starring James Woods.

he wasn't saying too much about the film. What he was doing was taking an example from the film, and interpreting as a real life experience to say that damn, some people are just dumb. They hate something but only because someone told them to hate it and are ignorant on even how to properly hate it. Its actually a pretty serious topic to me, and someone just wrote a book about it called The Age of American Unreason. Here she is on a bill moyers interview.

The sad part about both Spun and Salton Sea is that i've met many of those characters in real life.

Usually stereotypes are off base, but they hit the nail on the head for MOST tweaker personalities.

Good movies though.

"To do right is to know what you want. Now when you are dissatisfied with yourself it's because you are after something you don't really want. What objects are you proposing to yourself? Are they the objects you really value? If they are not, you are cheating yourself. I don't meant that if you chose to pursue the objects you most value, you will attain them; of course not. Your experience will tell you that. But success in getting after much labor what you really don't care for is the bitterest and most ridiculous failure." -George Santayana
