righty right, let me rephrase that...
im in las vegas. bored as shit watching a clockwork orange again. does anyone know of any cool shit to do besides gamble and go to strip clubs (my balls are blue enough already).
im lookin for like alex grey : new york city :: XXXXXX : las vegas, get it? some cool counterculture shit. like a known ne'erdwell hangout, but nowhere that im gonna get stabbed.
im in the hilton near the circus circus, so preferably something within walking distance of there.
any input would be welcome.

Cirque du Soleil has a few resident shows there. La Nouba, O, and one or 2 more. That will be what I do the next time I am in Vegas.

Check out The Bellagio, the Botanical Gardens are free and they've got a Gallery of Fine Art, both are very fun & trippy.

hahaha! yeaah... im not gonna see that.. but thanks
i hit up the circus circus and it was a big let down. i couldnt find that revolving bar from fear and loathing, if it even ever existed... i guess a lot has changed since 1971. spent a few bucks on slots, didnt win anything. im not a big gambler.
ive been around the strip this whole time, and i kinda want to go downtown tonight maybe. my last thread got locked because i was "asking for drugs", *enjoy your ban for asking for a hookup yet again.*
there are prostitutes everywhere

Vegas was the most disappointing city for me. Its like sin city, and to a conscious/spiritual person, was hard to have a good time. Just drive up to Rachel, Nevada and see how far you can get to Area 51.

I went looking for the revolving bar at circuscircus too and apparently it no longer exists! It was a bummer. I thought overall Vegas kind of sucked, but I still enjoyed a lot of things while there, including the Liberace museum (I am 100% serious, dude was cool and his museum is very interesting). I also went to this museum: http://www.atomictestingmuseum.org/ They have a great film there about the atomic tests that took place in the desert right outside of Vegas, with a lot of explosions shown in the film. There's also a lot of artifacts and the innards of a nuclear fusion machine and stuff. Probably my favorite thing I saw in Vegas.
And if I was in Vegas the thing I would 100% without a doubt do is eat dinner at this restaurant, Lotus of Siam. http://www.saipinchutima.com/ It is considered the best Thai restaurant in America and eating there was like being on drugs it was so good and I am not exaggerating. A section of their menu is made up of northern thai specialties which were soooo good. The drunken noodles kicked serious ass as well.
Hmm, another thing I liked in Vegas was "Coney Island" on the 2nd floor of NYNY, which was like some kind of video game museum stuffed to the gills with games from the last 30 years or so. I was tripping when I went there though, so maybe it's not that cool otherwise. The rest of NYNY sucked though--seemed kind of trashy.
Honestly, the strip part of Vegas seemed like it sucked and was full of douchebags that made me feel bad about humanity in a lot of ways. Like, all around me were people being like "this is so cool!!! ZOMG, Vegas, woot!" and I was thinking how tawdry it was and like a mall with bars everywhere.
I suggest either going to one of these museums, having a nice dinner at lotus of siam (with thai iced tea) or getting trashed and going to play video games in NYNY 2nd floor fake Coney Island (which closes at 9pm I think).
The Bellagio fountans are fun to see for their pure extravagance. I was high pretty much the whole time I was in Vegas and every time I walked by those things I started cracking up because they are so gay!
