The mushrooms look like Pluteus. That spore print looks the wrong color, at least on my monitor. For Pluteus it should be a fairly vivid pink color. Did you take the spore print photo indoors under room lighting?

Happy mushrooming!

If the sporeprint is brown it ain't a deer mushroom (pluteus cervinus). Pluteus have pinkish prints. Weird the print came out so brown from gills that white.

Yep, they do that sometimes.  I'm thinking Hebeloma genus.  Pretty mushrooms.:smile2:

I am still thinking its a Pluteus. The gills appear to be free in pic # 4 and it looks like a P. cervinus to me.

Was it growing directly from wood or from the ground?

Does it have a radish like smell?

What color is the spore print in the OAC color chart?

Yes, those are without a doubt, Pluteus, likely P. cervinus, as alan and ToxicMan have said.

Weird, that spore print looks carrot orange on my monitor! Heh, but it's still a Pluteus. As alan suggested, Hebeloma have attached gills, these do not.

if the stem is fuzzy it could be a Pluteus Plautus. I find them all over in the summe, usually fruiting from stumps. People consider them edible but hardly worth eating. Lack's and kind of flavor and heartyness. An old woodsman one told me if you got lost in the bush, the Plautus could keep you alive, for the fact that they're usually abundant and fruit throughout the summer.

Another possibility is that the spore print has dried out, although that seems unlikely, as it should have just been made. Lots of spore prints change color as they dry.

I think we're just seeing a photograph taken under yellowish light.

Happy mushrooming!
