WBS Jars. Thin mycelium.
    #8038794 - 02/18/08 04:37 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

I've spent about the last hour or two looking up jars with thin mycelium. I inoculated on 2/4 with multispore. I shook them up about 2 or 3 days ago. They seem to look almost completely colonized..But the mycelium is very thin and wispy looking. Whereas, a couple are really rhizomorphic and thick. I don't think these jars got shaken. The mycelium looks a little dry but i'm sure the kernels aren't dry. I also soaked a little too long. It was about 3-4 days. I rinsed a few times during this. I'm thinking in a few days the mycelium will thicken up. It almost looks like cobweb, but I can tell it is not.

Just wondering who else has had experience with this. There wasn't a shitload of posts on it, but I did find some. Not really many pictures for comparison though.
