It actually looks like the instrument you used to inoculate was contaminated. Probably not the print.

Definitely flame sterilize your inoculating loop. Don't use a scalpel or knife. RR

Some simple advice: Next time you make your agar, use some H2o2. I use 2cc's of Peroxide to 1 quart of agar solution. (before sterilization!) Another thing I find useful is that I use an X-acto knife to "scrape" the spores off the print and onto the petri dish. (Of course, flame sterilize the knife before you do the scraping). Those two little things have helped me TREMENDOUSLY! The knife never touches the agar.

My suggestion was more to the idea that you might want to scrape the spores onto the agar instead of physically touching the agar with any instrument. Also, the H202 will help with any incidental contamination. The mycelium might have somewhat of a harder time, but it will dominate.
Here is a pic I just took of a B+ culture. You notice the black specs towards the top of the mycelium? Those are the spores that haven't germinated. You can tell that the spores were dropped onto the agar instead of an inoculation loop running across the agar.

In my experience, cubensis spores are often colonized by this white type of bacteria and its a very common contaminate in syringes (syringes that can often still work in PF type cakes that don't get shaken, but fail with other methods).
Sporeworks does sell antibiotic. http://sporeworks.com/store/product.php?productid=16221&cat=0&page=1

@workman: What type of antibiotic is this? Streptomycin, gentamycin,...? Have you experience with chloramphenicol? Sometimes I use Yeastextract Glucose chloramphenicol Agar and the cubies love this media, but Psi.Mexicana e.g. don“t really grow that fast. Not tried any other species yet.

Its gentamycin sulfate which is preferred because it can be added to the agar before cooking. I haven't tried any others. I have used gentamycin in combination with the mold inhibiting fungicide benlate for isolating mycelium from badly contaminated tissue or spores.

Sure, any normal agar media for fungi can be used with gentamycin sulfate. And Fungiperfecti sells a premixed antibiotic agar, or at least they used to. Its been awhile since I have went shopping.
