First Successful Grow.. Dark Caps?

So, second attempt, first time I've gotten pins. Used grain > monotubs cased with peat, verm, and coffee grounds in one of them for a test.
Three strains, Malaysian, Hawaiian, Amazon. The ones with the dark caps are the malaysian.
 This is them.. yesterday.
This morning. Notice all the black caps? Is this normal?

Some side shots. To me they look healthy, and actually ready to harvest. I've never done this before, and just wanted to make sure they are safe / I'm not going to mess anything up.
Also, have a single mushroom eager to be picked in the hawaiian..
Do I pick that little guy soon? He's way far ahead of the rest of his tub.
Let these pictures serve as a coffee makes shit grow on crack, the Malaysians got a lot of coffee grounds and the others did not. Bother the Hawaiian and Amazon look the same as the last pic.
If anyone could help me figure out whats happening / what to do, i'd be very grateful.

congrats! looks awsome! the dark caps are just spores that collected on the caps from the other mushrooms dropping there spores. everything looks good thought. nice first grow.

your supposed to pick them when all of the veils have broken OR when the spores begin to drop. Soo pick them bad boys out! If you let to many spores drop you can risk poor flushes. but i wouldn't worry too much if you are going to dunk it for the second flush (which should wash all of the spores on the surface off).

Awesome, thank you both. Huge relief, I saw the dark caps and got nervous. I don't have a dehydrator yet, busy day and did NOT expect this to happen until this weekend, they just shot up in two days. What's a safe / good way to pick them and leave them until I can start drying tomorrow?
Also, twist and pull them from the bottom, making sure to get all the stem out. Need to spray the area with h2o2? Thanks so much for the quick responses..

no need for h202. just leave them out in the open or put them in a brown paper bag until you get to drying them properly.
if you have big divots after pulling the mushies out fill them with some more casing material. good job btw

just leave them out on a plate or anything and they will dry in 3 days without any help. i used to use a dehydrator but right now (since i have no rush) i just leave them out in a small bin spread out, and they dry in 3 days without any bluing.

i do the same as bry and have no trouble with them dryin out quickly. especially with it being so dry out if you leave them to open air they should be bone dry or at least close by this weekend.
nice looking clusters man

Wow, that's neat and beautiful. I'm still happy to have achieved any mushrooms. Quite the messy little jars I got.

Probably could have printed, but this wasn't expected to happen until this weekend at the earliest. The other bins, as the last pic in my first post, are what I expected the Malaysians to look like. They had a little too much coffee to be patient for me.. :p
Next time I'll definitely print. This was my first grow after all, just wanted to get some results..
