Slow/No Colonization

I seem to be having some issues with colonization: of the dozen jars knocked up with Ecuador, only one has any sort of mycelium growth.
One major difference between this jar and the other eleven is that the inoculation point currently sporting mycelium (which, I should note, seems quite healthy, at roughly 1 inch in diameter) got an accidental 1cc, compared to the 1/4-1/2cc the other points received.
We're right at twelve days from inoculation, and with Ecuador being a notoriously slow colonizer, I'm not extremely worried, but I'd like some of your thoughts on the matter.
My main hypothesis is that, it being wintertime, temperatures inside are a bit lower than ideal (~72°F). I'm currently looking into a heating solution. In the meantime, any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Yeah, 86F is optimal. If you are colonizing at room temperature, your jars are going to colonize a bit slower.

Thanks for the quick reply.
That's what I'd assumed (and hoped). Is it typical to not see any signs of growth for nearly two weeks at room temperature? I guess most of my research findings would assume optimum temperatures. That one successful jar just got my hopes up early on.

75-78F is optimal...anything beyond 81+ will increase thermophilics and contaminants and slow growth down as contaminants thrive in these temperatures. Your fine man..just wait it out room temperature in lighting or not is fine...It does not matter you can dunk cakes with pins on them and have them grow as long as theres adequate FAE for it to evaporate off.
