I have several golden torch in my backyard, I originally got them for landscaping and to make the back look a little more prolific. I was wondering if they were a mescaline-containing species.

They look to have an extremely low mescaline content if any.

omg cactus tea is amazing if you know how to make it right you should take that back maybe your just not great at tea making. any who to get a better grasp of the exact potency would be doing a acid/base and weighting the results then taking it and from there you consider whats in it if you have phen experience. tho a alcohol extract would do similar, the thing with cactus tea is you really dont need that much and will learn that rather quick when brewing it 65g of P torch can make 3 people trip maybe even four. where as someone else can take that and extract it alcohol and take it all. its strange like that. but the tea is all about having a communal group experience and these other extractions are more of a i wanna be seprate but will take it with you kinda deal

Well I have decided to revisit this idea but I am torn between doing an acid/base extraction and doing an alcohol extraction. What is an alcohol extraction and what are the pro's and con's of each one. Golden Torch are so common around here that I dont even need to fuss with my landscapping ones, I'll just pick up several from a local nursery and we'll experiment together.

Dude, i might be interested in buying a cutting or two of those. I cant find spachanius seeds that would germ, and I like these cactis, be nice for my trich collection.

That wouldnt be a problem. They are easy as hell to find here, Just about every nursery ive been to has tons of them, and If I remember correctly they are pretty cheap as well.
If you private message me, just reminding me, next time Im out (tomorrow afternoon) ill stop a couple places and get prices for you and when I buy mine, ill get you a couple as well.

Golden torch def contains mescaline, but the potency range isn't well known. They are probably much weaker than the already available potent strains like Bridgessi and Macrogonous. I once cut a piece of golden torch out hiking in the desert, and licking it was like licking a battery. I wonder if they are more potent than we understand.
And to those saying cactus tea is awful... you just havent put the effort... or the right kind of effort... into it.
Get dried flesh. You'll have a different opinion as a newb to cactus.

You want to PM me a tek for making good cacti tea then. Im going to pick up a couple golden torch this week or next and give it a try. I think its going to be tough to gauge dosage but im up for experimenting. Its been a long time since ive tripped and my mind seems ready and excited.

licking almost any cacti will be bitter active or not because loads of cacti contain other non active alkaloids that taste like crap.

Blue Agave, which is used in making tequila, has a very bitter taste too. I was out hiking and tasted some and it nearly numbed my entire mouth.
