Mornin!

Woke up on my buddy's couch... went to Radio Shack because I need a FireWire to USB adapter, but they were closed until 12, so I need to go back out later. Luckily, I needed to go back out to do some grocery shopping anyway.

Then I'm going to church at 5:30, then watching the third LotR movie with some friends...

not a bad day

Hello! I just got home from pouring coffee, working for peanuts. Today I had the thought: "What would Encyclopedia Brown do?"

Same thing Maniac McGee would, I guess.

Untie my not!

Good Afternoon!

Morning y'all!

Kaptkid it's awesome growing your own food! Especially homegrown tomatoes.  :drooling:  I've got some tilling to do but it's a little early in the season here.

House is quiet this morning, just me, it's lovely.

And I plan on winning a pool tournament this afternoon.

I wish I had space for a garden! I think I might transform my covered porch into one this spring. I've only grown herbs and mushrooms in my life but I'd like to grow my own food too.

Just takes a 5 gallon bucket and some soil to grow a huge tomato plant.

But covered porch makes me think of lack of sunlight. Tomatoes like a good bit of light.

My covered porch is filled with windows so there's lots of natural sunlight light but I was also thinking about getting an HPS light.

I actually don't know... my friend invited me.
I usually don't go to church unless I'm away from college at my parents' house because I absolutely love our church. It's an informal church with really good music (when I'm there, I play guitar or percussion with the band)

I haven't found one in my college town that I like very much.
I might check out the Unitarian Universalist church sometime.

Just tell your boss/supervisor tomorrow that your sister thought it would be funny to spike the morning orange juice with acid.
Who knows - you may even get the day off tomorrow - with pay!

You may not have an actual sister, or even one who knows about acid, but why would they bother to check this?

I do have a sister, probably doesn't know about acid, and I do drink orange juice!

Although your accuracy has been proven to be better than Miss Cleo's, I really can't as I work with essentially all friends, so I'd screw their day offs.

D*nkin' Donuts are cheap mother fuckin' bitches. I work for peanuts. And trade those peanuts for Acid.:headbanger:

I have to write a 2,000-5,000 word sci-fi short story and make 25 copies of it for Wednesday. I am hoping to get it done today so I will have ample time for the copies.

Any ideas? I'm thinking about a junkie, but I don't know where the science fiction fits in.

Write about a command officer who has an important job maintaining a special warp reactor that holds together space and time while the ship is travelling through hyperspace, and through his hidden addiction through some drug, his work slowly degrades and mutates and warps things as he slowly descends into darkness and madness.

One example could be an opening to a void, located in an unsuspecting location, like a man-hole.
Once through the void, ordinary products, like baking flour, become as active and addicting as heroin, thus turning someone into a junkie.
If they come back through the void, it reverts back to ordinary flour.

"I have long hair, and see, people associate long hair with drug use. I wish long hair was associated with something other than drug use, like 'an extreme longing for cake'. People would see a guy with long hair and say "damn, that fucker eats cake, he's on bundt cake". Mothers telling their daughters "don't bring the cake-eater over here anymore, he smells like flour. Did you notice how his eyes widened when he found out your birthday was fast approaching?"
