The refrigerator is for long term storage to protect an isolate. I've never recommended storing jars in the refrigerator and then using them, expecting good performance. It's well known that cold damages tropical species and thus they should never be 'cold shocked'.

You'd be far ahead storing cultures in master slants in the refrigerator, thus by the time the mycelium gets to the fruiting stage, it's fully recovered.

I remember reading somewhere that you didn't recommend storing jars in the fridge but right after I read that some others were saying it works fine.

I knew you were right the first time I looked at this tray. :smirk:
