humidity too low :(
    #803339 - 08/07/02 09:05 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

hi,
i made a terrarium out of a rubbermaid type container. it's not airtight but it does seal. for humidity i have about 1.5-2 inches of wet perlite, without standing water. however the humidity never goes above 80%, even with frequent mistings. this ~80% reading was constant with 2 humidity gauges. i've added more water to the perlite without any luck... and mycelium is growing on my pins. i'm out of ideas - can anyone help?
thanks...

If you have mycelium growing on your pins then you've probably got plenty of humidity. Humidity guages are notoriously inaccurate, try calibrating it/them.
