Yeah the Hualapai Nation opened the Skywalk last year, and
you wear hospital room booties on your feet to not mess up the
glass. The road to get out there is pretty rough almost 4X4
required, or they will drive/fly you out from Vegas for some $$$.

I'm sure it varies a ton the Colorado goes from 6 to 20 feet so I'm sure the river below that bridge is around the same.

Two or three years ago I hiked to the bottom, it was pretty sweet.
It was fucking nuts,like 900 feet from the river, it started pouring rain. The trails turned into flooding creeks of donkey urine/shit mud and a little bit of water. Then we got to the tunnel that's right before the bridge at the river for shelter with a few other hiker and it started hailing, at the bottom of the grand canyon!

Yeah, I floated the all day royal gorge trip, those rapids are nuts. I was in the front of the raft. In the very beginning I almost fell out on a small rapid, which kind of taught me how to stay in. But right underneath the bridge in the picture my cousin fell out...in some class IV rapids. She ended up going under the boat to the other side where my dad picked her out. She was only under for a few seconds but she could of been fucked. Its awesome being able to look back at a near death experience and laugh, at least for her. ...Shes the chick in the pink, I'm the guy with he long hair.
I think I hiked into the grand canyon in late summer/early fall '06

It's cool how on the Colorado river when you go rafting they have homing pigeons take the film from the photographer and bring them back to the station so the pictures are ready when your done with your trip.

nope, they even had a show about it on the discovery channel, here's what happens when your going down the river there's a guy who takes pictures of people passing by, but because there is not enough time for someone to drive all the way back to the station were the trip ends with the pictures (because the rafts get there faster than the cars would) they have numerous homing pigeons, not just one. they have little backpacks on them where the photographer puts the film and they fly back to the station where they develop them. It's really pretty cool man, I'm seriously not making this up I know it sounds funny but it's true.
