Ive been taking paxil(SSRI) for like 4 weeks now and im taking 20mg a day. Yesterday I smoked weed for the first time in a while(weeks). It didnt take much at all to get high..
It was great at first but now the day after.. I feel so depressed. A constant knot in my stomach and only negative thoughts. Has anyone else have this happen to them?

That's because those drugs exhaust the serotonin in your brain. Get the fuck off it; those drugs don't treat the underlying cause.

I have to agree with JTB on this. I was on paxil and it does fucking nothing. Fucking wait tell they try to take you off them. Worst feeling ever is coming off a SSRI. Just take St. John's Wort all natural

I have anxiety problem not depression, thats why they put me on paxil. I was hardly better off before I got on the SSRI

You need to replenish your serotonin. The body receives serotonin from L-tryptophan, an amino acid (amino acids are what make up protein). I would work my way off the SSRI and try L-tryptophan supplements (not 5-HTP). Also, I'm told by a naturopath that L-tryptophan gets to the brain best with an insulin rush; you'll see on the back of the bottle it says to take with juice.

oh im getting off it. This sack I got isnt going to sit around, and theres no way i';ll ever mix the two drugs again. But I need to get off slowly, i'll take 10mg for a week instead of the 20. Just getting off the 20mg immeditely isnt a good idea. What do you think?
EDIT: Thanks i'll look into L-tryptophan. Do you think I should drop the paxil immeditely not ease my way off it?

sorry half ass reply...
you have to ease off or else you might get some withdrawal/side effects... do it gradually (within a week) and start meditating while cutting down and you will be ok
bro, if your on a medication as serious as paxil stop smoking. paxil doesnt solve things, it just make them better temporarily. if you have anxiety problem, read up on meditating and then try it.

If I take that L-tryptophan after I get off the SSRI completely, what will the effects be like when I smoke again?
