How to become a better cultivator in 1 hour
    #802965 - 08/07/02 05:53 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Go get access to a college level biology textbook and read the sections on fungi. It is really worth it.

Just felt I would share this with everyone.

How very true.
Many universities even offer mycology courses.
If you live near one, why not audit it? Unless it is very small, they probably won't notice or mind.
Every high school textbook I have ever seen was nearly complete crap, so I would not recommend using any for a source of info.

I gained a wealth of knollage from a video on fungi i saw in summer school. cleared up alot. It's awsome when you understand it down to a cellular level. helps out tremendously. and the video was easier to comprehend.

Yes I read the whole chapter on fungi in my cousin's college Biology textbook when I first became interested in growing. It was graet, as I learned somewhat of the background and fundamental basics to fungi.
Thats what the shroomery should have, a overall basics to fungi life cycles, reproduction, etc.

the key here is one hour. i suggest that if you really want to be a better cultivator and only have one hour, that you sacrifice a virgin to Gaia, ( the mushroom goddess). ask her to give you more patience.

on the other hand, sacrificial virgins are hard to come by, and it is likely to take more than an hour to find one. the lesson learned here is that if one simply studies things like the books of Paul Stamets, that your efforts may be better rewarded than trying to find a virgin to sacrifice.

on the other hand, where does one find sacrificial virgins nowadays?
