First timer here - Planning for PF Tek and WBS

Hi everyone, I am obviously new. Have been lurking a while, searching all the good information available to me here but I figured it was time I said hello and asked the one or two remaining questions I have.
What I am planning on is making my first attempt at this when my spores arrive, hopefully next week. I want to do a two prong run here, starting out with four 1/2 pint jars using the PF Tek and at the same time do four pint or quart size jars using either Docs or another WBS Tek I cant find a link to right now, but he is using bags and it looked good.
I know everyone says do PF Tek first, and I respect that. But I also want to try out WBS at the same time just so I can learn faster. I also understand I should do PF tek and it will probably be a great experience, who knows I might like it better.
I just have to say that this site has so much good information and a really good search. Every time I think of a question I just type it in and find so many relevant threads. Want to say thanks. I hope to join in and help when I learn.
So if you dont mind I do have a couple questions here, just wanted to get the ideas from the experts.
1) Is it going to be okay doing WBS and innoculating using spores? All the teks I am seeing, the guys are using LC.
2) Say I've only got one 10cc spore syringe, would it be a better idea to knoc up four 1/2 pints (4cc) and two pints (another 4cc) for a total of 8 and then use the last two to make LC? I will have more syringes but other strains, if something goes wrong I would basically lose this strain if I mess up and am out of spores. But at the same time I could mess up making the LC.
So hi and thanks for the help.

Welcome and here are the answers to your questions
1.using a spore syringe is fine. 2.Personally i don't like lc's since there isn't a way to tell if they are contaminated without using them and seeing. What i would do (if you had the time) is knock up 4 jars let em colonize, see which one colonizes first and do g2g for the other jars that you want to do.this way you know it is good and clean spawn and what to expect from colonization time, and wont be wasting spores.

Hey xax, thank you.
Regarding the g2g, that seems like a way better idea and I do have the time, plenty of it or else I wouldnt even bother trying to get started. I am anticpating some bumps along the way. I did not know that about LC, thanks for the heads up.
So if I do g2g, can I leave at least one fully colonized jar in my incubation tub indefinitely? Similar to keeping a mother in vegetative when growing mj? At least until a time when I learn some other way like the petri dish agar thing, which I know zero about. Figured I dont need to get ahead of myself with all that, but at the same time I dont want to have to go about getting this strain all over.
Thanks again for the help and the welcome.

Awesome, thanks so much.
I was definitely planning to build a glovebox to use during all the recommended stages. I bought a see thru rubbermaid thing today, going to try to make it happen.
I wanted to try without but my house uses forced air and the only place I can do this is the kitchen, as my tiny bathroom has no counter space. The kitchen has a very significent breeze gusting through and the heat seems like its running permanently in this weather.
Will be sure to keep people updated with my progress once I get everything in my hands, in case anyone cares. I know everyone here is very skilled but sometimes im sure you like to see what a newb can do. Thanks again man.
