Kino 1.1.1
    #8028324 - 02/15/08 05:33 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

I downloaded Kino 1.1.1 video editor tonight because I want to start mixing video and audio together and I can't figure out how to even install it. When I extract it from the .rar file, I go into the folder and there's just a lot of other folders and files that I can't open or don't know what to open them with.

Anyone have this problem?

DO you have the required hardware and software in order to install it?

what distro do you use? it should be in most all the repositories by now.

if ubuntu/debian based: sudo apt-get install kino
if gentoo based: emerge kino

Holy shit, Anno.  I went to that page and downloaded from the links at the bottom................

Here are some links to some closely related dependent projects:

    * libiec61883 (http://www.linux1394.org/)
    * libraw1394 (http://www.linux1394.org/)
    * libavc1394 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/libavc1394/)
    * libdv (http://libdv.sourceforge.net/)

But then when I open those folders, it's just more of the same thing.  Folders and documents that I can't open!  :frown:

I have no idea what Linux is.  And I even just looked it up after I read your post.  :sad:

Maybe I should be using a different program?  This is getting pretty involved.
