OSx86 "Hackintosh"....Running OSX on a PC (?)

Should be getting a new laptop soon, it's been getting delayed as a result of lack of funds and indecision. Anyways, I was going to go and drop full price on a macbook pro so I could run OSX, because I found out about bootcamp and being able to run windows also. This boosted the functionality points up a little for the mac since I've always been a windows person and don't want to make the fulljump to OSX.....but having reconsidered I figured out the only reason I was paying for a computer with OSX on it was to able to run an application, logic pro (I like messing around with music stuff).
So a person on here told me about OSx86 and running OSX on a PC; and this video almost has me convinced to get a cheaper (but just as nice, powerful, same specs, etc.) laptop then the mac. Makes sense, and it would save me over 500 dollars since all I'd really be getting the mac for is for the OS, not the laptop itself (which can easily be matched by other companies).
Only problem is I don't know how good this "Hackintosh" OS is compared to the real OSX and if it will run my program for sure. Also looking into it I found out I have to "partition my hard drive into two parts" to accommodate both OS's or something like that.
Anyone know a lot about this OSx86 and if its worth it? Anyone use this? Is this pretty much the real deal, does it match up to the actual OSX or is it more similar to an emulator?
Thanks for your help

Oh yeah and this asshat says you shouldn't do it
Don't really know what to do, whether I should just get a mac or get a computer that would run OSX just as good (same specs) but for cheaper...
Your help is appreciated.

Like I said, it isn't 'emulated'. OSx86 will run natively on your machine. You will need to partition your internal hard drive if you want to run both operating systems off of it, but you could get an external drive if you really didn't want to partition the internal one for some reason. I haven't installed it yet, but I have run the setup program for OSx86 and it was rather intuitive. It's really easy to install.

lol I thought you might pop up
From what I got from the video, he says you shouldn't do it for reasons of legality...
He didn't exactly touch the subject of functionality on a good computer, and he used an older slower computer saying it was buggy and all that. But on a newer computer it should work fine like your saying....
I don't know how to partition a hard drive, how exactly does one do this?

Oh and can the newest version of OSX with this? Is it hard to get ("pirate" ) this from the interenet?
Also the computer I'm getting will most likely come with Vista, is it easy to get XP too? (since I've heard Vista blows)

Well I wouldn't expect a guy working for a big name company to advocate anything illegal. Nothing surprising. You can find instructions on the internet for partitioning your hard drive with simpe GUI programs in Widows, it's really pretty simple. Also you might be able to partition the hard drive in the OSx86 setup. Any information you need to setup OSx86 can be found here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Only buy their products if you're easily influenced by marketing and fads.

I have a triple boot system each with their own drive, Leopard, XP Pro and Vista Ultimate, everything runs so smooth, If you have 1200 to spare you can build a great triple boot system, I use acronis to load whatever system I want a boot. And now if you check the forums you can buy a copy of leopard and use the original install disk so no need for pirating.
