February 15, 2008 Hmm: How Come Women Right In The Front Rows Of Every Obama Speech Seem To Faint At The Same Point?
Right on camera, right on cue. http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=91
This is all suspicious, but let's remember (God, I can't believe I'm writing this with respect to a jug-eared jackass) the Beatles: Lots of girls fainted for them, too, probably because they internalized, somehow, that they were expected to faint.
Though I would dearly like to check out exactly who these Fainting Fannies really are.
What's next? Women whipping off their panties and tossing them onto the stage?

You're the one who claimed this happened at every single stop.
I'm just pointing out your business-as-usual sensationalism.

This is stupid stuff.
Quote:
Right on camera, right on cue.
I watched three of the videos and in each of them the people who fainted were off camera. It is unclear what row they were in since the camera stayed on Obama.
Can't Obama detractors find something subtantial to attack him with rather than flags and fainting spells?
Anything but focusing on the issues.

Is Obama benefitting from these faints? I watched a couple, and he credited them to overheating in one, and jokingly to Oprah in another. I don't know how that is supposed to bolster his campaign.

That seems to be the norm for the conservatives on this forum. That and chanting "change change change".
I guess "flip-flop! flip-flop! flip-flop!" was a bit too intellectually advanced for some of them so they dropped a syllable for this cycle.

I forgot to thank you for linking to these great speeches Phred!
I wish he always had that fire in him like that second video. And the nine minute one was great to hear, too.
I think its a very positive gesture for someone in such a position of power to offer assistance to 'common' people.
Perhaps he makes too big a deal out of it? I don't think so. The Des Moines EMT that was pulled out of the audience to help didn't think so either.
She treated two in one night and didn't think they were staged. She even said Obama was humble and just a regular person.
Imagine that!

Maybe he can start to cry and plant questions for people to ask him. Seems to be a winning strategy...

It is harder to chant two words than one.

"Puzzling coincidence at 5 different Sen. Obama campaign speeches over the last few months where a person near the stage faints. Sen. Obama responds to each incident with the same routine and phrases."
VIDEO: Feb. 4th, 2008 -- Obama in Hartford (START AT 6:05 MARK) VIDEO: Jan. 8th, 2008 -- Obama in Hanover, NH... VIDEO: Sep. 8th, 2007 -- Obama in Santa Barbara, CA (START AT 6:29 MARK)... VIDEO: circa Feb. 24th, 2007 - Obama in Los Angeles... VIDEO: Dec. 8th, 2007 -- Obama in Iowa...

I really don't see the big deal, honestly.
Yeah it is a coincidence, but I think its hard to call it a stage just cuz it happened 5 times that were indicated, and maybe more not noticed.
You shoulda worked w/ me at an old job in a hospital. People fainted or got dizzy and collapsed multiple times a night.
I'm not saying I have faith Obama wouldn't pull something like this, but:
1) how does this help him? That people see he's so compassionate to direct an emt to them?
2) What is the common reaction of obama? Saying "give them some room" and "if anyone's an emt, could they come forward?"... not lines that seem unusual to be repeated.
If he whipped out a tophat and cane and did a tap dance for the intermission while the emt's carried the body away, that would seem orchastrated, but not this.

I don't understand what the point is of doing this a couple times throughout the course of one year. So someone faints, so what, if it was staged, then it was as a practical joke because there is no incentive to just stage someone fainting. It doesn't really have much effect in making his speeches look more moving, I mean twice a year out of how many hundreds of speeches has someone fainted?
I'd like to see some information regarding the nature of the venue's each speech was held in. How many people, was it indoors or outdoors, what was the temperature like, what was the age/physical description of the person fainting, what their proximity might have been from overhead lights. Surely a small handful of individuals out of the probably hundreds of thousands of Americans Obama has talked to could have some pre-existing medical condition that could be affected by the conditions of the rally.

He's not black, he's Arab, descended from slave traders. http://kennethelamb.blogspot.com/2008/02/thanks-to-mr-mustin-for-this-correction.html
Quote:
"Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian, that from his mother. What those who want Mr. Obama to write history by becoming "America's first African-American president" ignore is that his father was ethnically Arabic, with only 1 relative ethnically African Negro - a maternal great-grandparent (Sen. Obama's great-great grandparent, thus the 6.25% ethnic contribution to the senator's ethnic composition.).
"That means that Mr. Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side. He is 43.75% Arabic, and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side.
