The Purpose of Lucid Dreams...
    #8027476 - 02/15/08 01:54 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Just some interesting thoughts:

B) Mastering the art of lucid dreaming is possible. During lucid dreaming, it is possible for us we can create any reality we so choose. This includes the perception of all emotional and physical sensations, such as taste, tectile sensation, audio and visual. We can create paradise in our dreams, fly, have sex, make music, bask in the sun, etc... (travel across the cosmos perhaps?)

So maybe our dreams are our ticket to paradise? We spend out waking life surviving, and then we can take a vacation to the "universe-is-yours" resort.

Well for me lucid dreams are great because they're fun (this for me matters most) and because it's a way of learning to have better control over my mind.

:bunny::bunnyhug:
All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs

Who's to say that the dream world isnt one of many "real" dimensions, when one sees the multidimensional illusion of "reality" you can see that our waking state is possibly just as relevant/irrelevant as our dreaming state.

Neither escape impermanence so are both part of the same thing.

However dreams could just be part of our stored memories replaying themselves in different possibilities and there is no multidimensional "reality" aspect to them. They could just be ego based memories and recreations.

Im still learning about dreams, yet i tend to focus more on my waking state as we humans live by time, and we spend more time waking then sleeping.

That is not to take anything away from either state, i am unenlightened regarding dream states.

It makes sense to me that if there is a 'Dream Time' afterlife, the ability to become lucid would be very important.

"Reality is reality, and a dream, is a dream. We always dream, and we are always real! ..but we dream of reality, and we realize dreams!"

BTW. What happened to A) ?

Being awake and as fully alert as you are now, sitting here reading this, in another/parallel/alternative reality, is something we all do EVERY single night..

Some of you will refuse this, though. And that is a-OK! But, it is a choice you make..

People wanting to experience "awaken dreams", should really review their wake up habit.. Think "Now I shall go do this, and that.." And you might forget.. Think something like "Now I was just there and there, and did this and that.." And you might not even forget it in the first place..

Subconscious or not, we all got the choices we choose!
